Tips and Tricks for Using Breach's Abilities

First things first. To master Breach, you must understand his abilities inside and out.

Aftershock

This ability is perfect for flushing out enemies hiding behind cover or forcing them to reposition.

The key to using Aftershock effectively is anticipating where the enemy might be and communicating with your team to capitalize on the damage and displacement of the ability.

Flashpoint

This ability is incredibly versatile and can be used offensively and defensively. When attacking, use it to push onto a site and catch enemies off guard. When defending, use it to stop a push and give your team time to reposition.

To maximize Flashpoint's impact, communicate with your team when you're about to use it.

Fault Line

Fault Line has a long range and can penetrate through walls, making it perfect for gathering information and setting up plays.

When using Fault Line, try to aim it at choke points or common holding spots to maximize its effectiveness. You can also use it to force enemies out of hiding and into the open, where your team can easily pick them off.

Rolling Thunder

The key to using Rolling Thunder effectively is to coordinate with your team and use it when the enemy is grouped up or in a vulnerable position. It's also essential to communicate with your team and let them know when you're about to use it so they can follow up and secure the kills.

Effective Breach Ability Combos

Here are a few examples of effective Breach ability chains:

Flashpoint + Fault Line

This combo is perfect for pushing onto a site or retaking one. Start by using Flashpoint to blind the enemies holding the angle or area you want to push. Immediately follow up with Fault Line to daze enemies that weren't fully blinded. It will make them easy targets for you and your team to take out as you move in.

Aftershock + Fault Line

If you know an enemy is hiding behind cover, you can use this combo to flush them out. First, use Aftershock to damage and force the enemy to move from their position. As they try to escape the Aftershock, hit them with Fault Line to stun them, making them vulnerable to your team's fire.

Rolling Thunder + Flashpoint

This combo is devastating when the enemy team is grouped up. Use Rolling Thunder to daze and knock up the enemies, then immediately follow up with Flashpoint to blind them as they land. It will leave them disoriented and vulnerable, allowing your team to clean them up quickly.

Fault Line + Ultimate

You can combine Fault Line and Rolling Thunder for a power engage if they're both up. Start by using Fault Line to daze the enemies, then immediately follow up with Rolling Thunder to knock them up and daze them again. This double daze can be incredibly disorienting and give your team a massive advantage in the ensuing fight.

Flashpoint + Teammate's Abilities

Breach's Flashpoint can be combined with many other agents' abilities for devastating effects. For example, you can coordinate with Sova to blind enemies with Flashpoint, then have Sova follow up with his Shock Bolt or Hunter's Fury to deal massive damage. Similarly, you can blind enemies with Flashpoint, then have Raze throw her Paint Shells or Blast Packs into the fray.

Breach's Role as an Initiator in Valorant

As an initiator, Breach's primary role is to create space for his team and disrupt the enemy's defenses. Breach's kit is designed to control areas, gather information, and create opportunities for his teammates to capitalize on. He excels at setting up plays and forcing the enemy to react to his abilities.

When playing Breach, you must let your team know when you're about to use your abilities so they can coordinate and follow up accordingly. For example, before using Flashpoint, tell your team about the direction you're going to blind so they can prepare to peek or push. Similarly, when using Fault Line or Rolling Thunder, communicate the areas you're targeting so your teammates can focus their fire and utility on those locations.

Breach has excellent synergy with agents with damaging abilities, such as Raze or Sova. For instance, you can use Fault Line to daze enemies, making them vulnerable to Raze's Paint Shells or Blast Packs. This combination can be particularly effective when pushing onto a site or retaking one.

Another great combo is using Breach's Flashpoint with Sova's Recon Bolt. Have Sova fire a Recon Bolt into a contested area, revealing the enemy's location. When the bolt tags an enemy, use Flashpoint to blind them, allowing your team to take them out quickly.

Breach can also work well with agents who have smokes or walls, like Brimstone or Phoenix. Use their smokes to block off certain angles or zones for entry, then employ your abilities to force enemies out of cover or into vulnerable positions. This teamwork can help your squad take control of key areas on the map and put pressure on the enemy team.

When playing as Breach, consider leveraging your abilities to give your team an advantage in each situation. It might mean using Aftershock to clear out a corner before your team pushes onto a site, or saving your Rolling Thunder for a crucial moment when the enemy is grouped up and vulnerable.

Breach Strategies for Different Maps

Ascent

Breach can use his abilities to control the mid lane and create opportunities for his team to push onto the sites. Try using Aftershock to clear out enemies hiding in the cubby on A site, or use Fault Line to daze enemies holding the B site from the market.

Bind

Breach can use his abilities to control the showers area and create opportunities for his team to push onto the A site. Try using Flashpoint to blind enemies holding the shower entrance, then use Fault Line to daze any remaining defenders on the site.

Haven

Haven is a large map with many long sightlines, perfect for Breach's long-range abilities. Use Aftershock to clear out enemies hiding in the garage on C site, or use Rolling Thunder to daze enemies holding the long sightline from A site to mid.

Icebox

Icebox is a vertically oriented map with many tight choke points, making it an excellent map for Breach's abilities. Use Aftershock to clear out enemies hiding in the kitchen on B site, or use Fault Line to daze enemies holding the long sightline from A site to mid.

Split

Split has many tight corners and choke points, making it a great map for Breach's close-range abilities. Use Aftershock to clear out enemies hiding in the vents on A site, or use Flashpoint to blind enemies pushing through the mid choke point.

Advanced Breach Techniques

Once you've mastered the basics of playing Breach, it's time to take your gameplay to the next level with some advanced techniques.

One of the advanced techniques is to use your abilities for mind games and fakes. For example, you can use Aftershock on one site to make the enemy think you're attacking there, then quickly rotate to the other site and catch them off guard.

Learning how to adapt your playstyle to different situations and matchups is also important. If the enemy team has a lot of mobile agents like Jett or Raze, you may need to play more defensively and use your abilities to lock down sites rather than push aggressively.
