What Does LFG Mean?

LFG is a term that online gamers use all the time. If you play games online, you've probably seen it before. But what does it mean?

Two Main Meanings

LFG usually means one of two things in Gaming:

  1. "Looking for Group" - This means the person wants to find other players to play with. Such as a duo in League of Legends.
  2. "Let's F****** Go!" - Some people say this when they're excited to start playing after finding a group.

Where Did LFG Come From?

The term LFG started being used in the early days of online multiplayer games. One of the first big games where people used it was Everquest. In this game, some challenging missions needed a group of players to work together. So, players would say "LFG" to find others to play with. Later, it started popping up in other massively multiplayer games, such as World of Warcraft.
