Faker Re-Signs With T1 Until 2029

T1 officially announced that Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok resigned his contract with T1 for 4 more years. The contract ensures the GOAT will continue to represent T1 through 2029, securing his long-term role on the roster and giving fans more excitement to see him play.

The announcement was met with a lot of positive reactions from fans during a special event T1 hosted, where Faker himself confirmed that he had, in fact, re-signed for another 4 years with T1. News quickly went viral across social media, with fans celebrating the most critical re-signing in esports history. It sparked excitement among all and helped reassure the LoL community that Faker won't be leaving anytime soon and will continue playing for T1.

The Legacy of the World Champion in the LCK Continues with T1 Until 2029

Faker, who first appeared in 2013 as a midlaner rookie of SK Telecom T1, has spent all of his entire Pro career with T1, which many people adore and respect because it's rare to see in esports these days.

Over the years of competing, he has become the standard of loyalty in his home country, South Korea. His influence went beyond individuals, but he inspired many new players across the country to pursue their esports dreams wth the same dedication and love of the game he had.

Rather than slowing down after years at the pinnacle, Faker has shown he will continue to guide the new generation of talent, including Zeus, Doran, Oner, Gumayusi, Peyz, and Keria.

Both his leadership and mentorship are on another level and are highly respected. Because of Faker's mentorship, the new generation is able to improve their overall gameplay, mentality, and pressure management. That's why T1 has remained dominant in the past three years, even at the highest levels.

Faker's presence both on and off-stage helps guide and shape T1's culture and discipline. From consistent practices to properly popping off on the international stage, Faker's still GOAT'ed, and his impact sways everyone on the team to be as GOAT'ed in their own roles.

The four-year extension signifies a new era of dominance. It shows how the organization itself believes that Faker can, in fact, carry the boats and logs, leading T1 to victory at all costs.

Faker Is the Most Decorated Player in League of Legends History

Faker’s re-signing reinforces his status as the most decorated player the game has ever witnessed.

Over more than a decade, he has become the face of competitive League of Legends, having six Worlds Championships with a three-peat, numerous LCK titles, winning twice at Mid-Season Invitational, being the first to win at Esports World Cup, achieving the gold medal at the Asian Games, and being the first inductee of Hall of Legends alongside a countless of individual awards further proving why he stands alone at the top of the game.

His unmatched list of achievements continues to set the standard for greatness, showing just how far his influence stretches across the entire esports landscape.

The 2025 re-signing silences any remaining doubts. At the age of 29, not only does it reaffirm the South Korean mid laner still has the passion to compete, but it also signals that T1 believes he remains a cornerstone for a future championship run for as long as he continues to play.

For fans and critics alike, the message is clear: the Unkillable Demon King isn’t stepping down, and he is preparing for the next chapter of domination.
