Every League of Legends Worlds Song

Before the pro teams start fighting in the League of Legends Worlds for the final Champion, you need to chill and witness the artists perform the Worlds theme song for that year.

That's right, even Riot knows you need to listen to certified bops to get your blood boiling and the crowd hyped for the craziest plays you're going to witness.

But even if you're just a casual fan, queueing up for your ranked games while blasting Worlds anthems is a surefire way to get you in the zone and boost your performance, no matter your preferred role in the rift.

With a new anthem each year, let's look into every League of Legends Worlds Anthem since 2014.

Warriors - Imagine Dragons (2014)

Since 2014, the OG anthem of Lol Esports has been considered by many to be the best Worlds song, and they know the lyrics by heart. The tone and the lyrics brought to life by the talent of Imagine Dragons left the fanbase with a vibe that feels like preparing for one last team fight in the Baron pit after you're down with a huge disadvantage the whole game.

The first song never fails to remind the fanbase to look back and see how far League of Legends has matured from a video game into a cultural force.

Worlds Collide - Nicky Taylor (2015)

This song had the biggest shoes to fill, following the previous anthem in "Warriors." Fans consider 2015's "Worlds Collide" a solid anthem with powerful lyrics and vocals, but comparisons with other anthems muted its impact. This song also doesn't have a cinematic video, which doesn't help its standing with the fans. Either way, this is a good song both lyrically and sonically.

Ignite - Zedd ft. Gray (2016)

"Ignite" is the first EDM anthem for LoL Worlds. Admired by some for its quality production and unique visuals, the song is often criticized for lacking the emotional depth and emotional weight that fans look for in Worlds anthems.

Legends Never Die - Against The Current (2017)

One of the most iconic Worlds anthems, "Legends Never Die," has cemented its spot as the go-to song for content creators showing the limits of their mechanics on high skill ceiling champions on the rift. League of Legends fans will recognize this song from either a video of the most impressive Shurima Shuffle or the funniest Neeko Pop-Blossom fail in the history of League of Legends.

Rise - The Glitch Mob, Mako, The Word Alive (2018)

Considered by many to be one of the greatest songs to come out of Worlds, "Rise" is the anthem during Worlds 2018. An epic electric rock sound and a narrative that feels like a journey of a hero rising from the dirt. Boasting deep lyrics and heavy vocals, coupled with the rich accompanying music video, this song is arguably the most inspiring of the bunch.

Phoenix - Cailin Russo & Chrissy Costanza (2019)

This song from Worlds 2019 is remembered as an introspective, bold anthem that resonated strongly with the players. With strong emotional depth, powerful vocals, and cinematic storytelling, this song emphasizes the resilience required to overcome the many challenges faced by players and pros in the scene.

Take Over - Jeremy McKinnon (A Day to Remember), MAX, Henry (2020)

"Take Over" is the Worlds anthem for 2020. The song is definitely energetic and, according to some fans, experimental, thanks to a new sound and style never heard in past anthems. Fans are split between appreciating this new bold collaboration and feeling it fell short in terms of scale, as more hype and grandeur.

Burn It All Down - PVRIS (2021)

With a darker, more rebellious tone, "Burn It All Down" is the Worlds 2021 anthem. Although some fans expect a sudden adrenaline rush as the song builds, given the previous anthems' pattern, this song falls short of those expectations and instead leans more into its theme of rebellion and defiance.

STAR WALKIN' - Lil Nas X (2022)

From Worlds 2022 comes "STAR WALKIN'" by Lil Nas X. This song didn't fail to deliver an electrifying performance but while it is catchy, it delivers a different tone than the rest of the songs on the list, as it gives off the hip-hop vibe that doesn't exactly fit the competitive vibe of the Worlds stage.

GODS - NewJeans (2023)

During Worlds 2023, NewJeans, a popular Korean girl group, gave us "GODS." This song showcases K-pop sounds, but some fans think that the song doesn't carry the hype that the previous anthems provide. Regardless of sentiments, this song earned praise from fans. Even T1 Keria couldn't contain his excitement to watch NewJeans perform on stage.

Heavy is the Crown - Linkin Park (2024)

From Linkin Park comes "Heavy is the Crown" for Worlds 2024. Coupled with the fact that this Worlds 2024 anthem coincided with the prestigious band's comeback, the anthem is considered by many to be a significant milestone for the modern Worlds scene, as Riot Games partnering with a band as popular as Linkin Park is huge for the League players.

When listening to this nu-metal bop and seeing Faker emerge from the doors in the animated music video, you can definitely feel the aura of the unkillable demon king and the weight of the crown.

Sacrifice - G.E.M. (鄧紫棋) (2025)

The latest of all the anthems performed during Worlds 2025, this new song has an impressive emotional depth backed by the powerful vocals of G.E.M., with a haunting tone and lyrics that invoke the question of what you, and the professional esports players, are willing to sacrifice to reach greatness.

Honorable Mentions: The K/DA Phenomenon

While not official "Worlds Anthems," these tracks debuted at the World Championship opening ceremonies and became instant global sensations, often rivaling the anthems themselves in popularity.

POP/STARS - K/DA (2018)

Debuting at the 2018 World Championship in Incheon, K/DA (featuring Madison Beer, (G)I-DLE, and Jaira Burns) took the world by storm. "POP/STARS" became a cultural phenomenon that transcended League of Legends, topping charts and introducing millions to the game's universe. For many fans, this track is the sound of Worlds 2018 alongside "Rise."

MORE - K/DA (2020)

K/DA returned to the stage in Shanghai for Worlds 2020 with "MORE." Adding Seraphine to the lineup, this track proved the virtual group wasn't a one-hit wonder. The high-tech augmented reality performance and the song's darker, edgier vibe perfectly complemented the competitive atmosphere of the tournament.
