- How to Unlock Worlds Championship Skins
Fifteen World Championships, thirteen winning rosters, and more than seventy commemorative skins later, the League of Legends Worlds skin collection is now bigger than the champion pool of some MOBAs.
Here's all the Worlds champion skin sets, year by year, team by team, with the stories sorted out along the way.
How Worlds Skins Happen
Win the League of Legends World Championship, and every player on the winning roster picks a favorite champion. Riot designs a commemorative skin for each pick, drops it in the shop the following year, and funnels a chunk of sales back to the players, the team, and their regional league through the Team Pass revenue-share system.
A few rules for picking the skin. Players typically have to have actually used the champion during the tournament, or at minimum have a real connection to it, which means no picking Teemo because you think he's funny. The Finals MVP usually gets a bonus, and since 2022, that bonus has meant a Prestige edition of their skin.

Fnatic 2011

- TPA Shen — Stanley
- TPA Dr. Mundo — Lilballz
- TPA Orianna — Toyz
- TPA Ezreal — BeBe

- SKT T1 Zed — Faker
- SKT T1 Vayne — Piglet

- SKT T1 Elise — Bengi
- SKT T1 Ryze — Faker
- SKT T1 Kalista — Bang
- SKT T1 Alistar — Wolf
- SKT T1 Azir — Easyhoon
SK Telecom T1 2016

The back-to-back was headlined by Faker's Syndra, one of the cleanest MVP skins ever made. Riot also shipped a ward skin for coach kkOma, the only non-champion Worlds cosmetic until 2025.
- SKT T1 Ekko — Duke
- SKT T1 Olaf — Bengi
- SKT T1 Zac — Blank
- SKT T1 Syndra — Faker (Finals MVP)
- SKT T1 Jhin — Bang

- iG Irelia — Duke
- iG Camille — Ning (Finals MVP)
- iG LeBlanc — Rookie
- iG Kai'Sa — JackeyLove
- iG Rakan — Baolan

FPX ran through G2 in Paris, and Tian's Lee Sin, the second Worlds Lee Sin, carried a Finals MVP trophy with it. The 2019 anthem "Phoenix" still slaps.

- FPX Malphite — Doinb
- FPX Vayne — Lwx

Faker's fourth title and T1's first since 2016, a 3-0 sweep of Weibo Gaming in Seoul. Zeus took Finals MVP and a Prestige Jayce, while Oner's Lee Sin became the third Worlds Lee Sin.
- T1 Jayce — Zeus (Finals MVP, + Prestige)
- T1 Lee Sin — Oner
- T1 Ahri — Faker
- T1 Jinx — Gumayusi
- T1 Bard — Keria
If watching Faker collect World Championships makes you want to actually improve at mid lane instead of just rewatching VODs, booking a session with a Challenger League of Legends coach on WeCoach is the fastest way to close the gap between "I know the theory" and "I actually play it right in my solo queue games."
T1 2024

Back-to-back and Faker's fifth title. Riot titled the set "The Unkillable Knights of the Crown," and Faker became the first player to earn two skins in one cycle: base Yone plus a Prestige Sylas.

- T1 Ambessa — Doran
- T1 Xin Zhao — Oner
- T1 Galio — Faker
- T1 Yunara — Gumayusi (Finals MVP)
- T1 Miss Fortune — Gumayusi (Prestige)
- T1 Seraphine — Keria

On the shop side, the base skins are Epic-tier at 1,350 RP, Gumayusi's Prestige Miss Fortune runs on Mythic Essence, and 30% of the collection's revenue flows back to T1 and its players.
How to Unlock Worlds Championship Skins

Recent Worlds skins from 2020 onward stay in the in-game shop on a rotating basis. You can buy them with RP whenever Riot opens the sale window, which usually runs through Worlds season each year and then for a month or two after the finals wrap up.
Older skins from 2011 to 2019 are locked to their original release windows and will not return to the shop, with rare exceptions when Riot refreshes an entire legacy skin line (like the Reignited Worlds 2011 Fnatic set).
Prestige Worlds skins require Mythic Essence, not RP, and they only drop during specific event windows tied to each Worlds cycle. Miss the window, miss the skin, and you will not have another chance until Riot reruns it later, if they do.
